why not use Global7? Its a net-to-phone service. But its very cheap. It only charges USD0.0089 to call China. And It gives u a US phone number. What you need to do is to bring a laptop and use internet in some cybercafe. That's it. Feel free to contact me under yahoo answers email system.

If you already have a GSM phone, just get a SIMS card and you are in business...Otherwise, you can get a Mobal phone that will work almost anywhere in the world for $99, without having to replace the card. The catch: incoming and outgoing calls are on the expensive side. The pros: you keep your number forever so people can call you at the same number wherever you are in the world where the phone works. A good and cheap way is also to get the cheaper Mobal phone (you get a motorola for $50, not the sexiest and smartest model but it is functional and you can send sms as well), which comes with a SIMS card that works almost everywhere in the world. When you arrive in China, just buy a SIMS card for 100CNY (rechargeable) and put it in your phone...that's it...you got yourself a GSM phone for $50...
