Can I get work in Taiwan as a betel nut beauty 檳榔西施

Can I get work in Taiwan as a betel nut beauty 檳榔西施 ?
Taiwan is infamous for scantily clad girls selling cigarettes and betel nuts along its roadsides. This looks like a good career for me. Here is what betel nut girls look like: http://fotozon.com/fotoview.cgi?664

Judging from your own personal picture of a large transvestite, it is unlikely you would bring in many extra customers. But nobody here will stop you from trying. Actually, visiting a plus sized betel nut tranny might be a new market for some types of men. Go! Live your dreams! Live your life, for in Taiwan, you are free!

yes, those girls are way too skinny. they need some plump girls like you.

Now THAT I'd like to see! Come on over to a free country for a change, and express yourself! You will not only find that very refreshing, you just might come to understand the Taiwanese a little better. Maybe you'll start a fad here by having the truckers pluck the betel nut packs from your ample cleavage, and then you can become internationally famous when you take the practice back to Shanghai. (...If you don't get arrested for trying it out.) LOL Good luck on making your dreams come true, BBBB! (Big-Bosomed Betel Babe)

Mainland Chinese wanting to work in Taiwan will have to apply for a work visa. They willl require correct qualifications/skills and have confirmations of a job before they are considered for a work visa. This foes to nationals wanting to work in Taiwan. As you have none of these and which to take work were your scantily clad I suggest you try the KTV bars that litter many alleyways in China. The works is ok and you will get to rest your back and wear your pink fluffy earrings to your hearts desire.

I thought yes

Actually, few younger generation eat betel nuts nowadays. Betel nuts are for those older people in countryside. I am not sure if it is a good idea to make money. I do see a lot of Chinese who are illegal foreign labors sneak into Taiwan trying to be betel nut beauty though. If you want to sell betel nuts in Taiwan, it is competitive.

Sure you can. Those girls are very pretty, your qualifications might not fit the standards. You might have difficulties in your career, but I suppose you should start practicing in China, I hear there are many low-level brothels where smelly drunk men will drill anything that resembles a keyhole. Have fun and don't forget to bring Jissbon. It's made in China too, it will resemble plastic zip-lock bags designed to fit any key-sized pecker. http://www.chinahush.com/2011/02/28/jissbon-condoms-sued-for-posing-as-foreign-brand/#more-8051

Nowadays, only ugly chicks sell betel nuts. Or they just use a crapload of makeup. All the good looking girls go work as part time models or give out sample beauty products or they get a job at the front desk at random companies.
9 :
No, you will scare a lot of customers away.

There is no regulations. Anyone can do this, You just have to watch out for the pervert "We Never Left".

Work for a Filipina nurse in Taiwan

Work for a Filipina nurse in Taiwan?
I am asking this question on behalf of a friend of mine. She is a graduated nurse from the Philippines, and speaks perfectly English. She doesn't speak any Chinese, but she's willing to learn it. The question(s): * Can she work in Taiwan? (either as a nurse or caretaker - not living in) * What paperwork has to be done? * What wages could she expect? * Can she find a job without passing "brokers"? Thank you so much for helping her. I will pass all answers to her.

Hi, click on the first link below. I got this from the POEA site itself. Currently, there are around 5,000 job vacancies for nurses abroad in the POEA site. Out of these 5,000, only 3 are needed for Taiwan (JEDEGAL INT`L MANPOWER SERVICES INC.) Much of the vacancies are in Saudi Arabia/Middle East. To tell the truth, I've never heard of Pinoy nurses working in hospitals here. Also, while there may be a lot of caregiver services here, yet these are all reserved for the Taiwanese. I seriously doubt if the caregiver agencies would let her work with just a visitor visa and passport to show. They just don't operate that way here (it's illegal.) Well, at least, not anymore. Were these the days of Boomtime twenty to twenty five years ago, then she would have had a good chance of landing a caregiver job here, EVEN WITHOUT THE NECESSARY PAPERS; and in fact, even be able to acquire the Taiwan National ID. Right now, the chances are slim. I wouldn't advise her to take this step. She's better off in Canada, where there's a lot of openings (no offense to Matt of Asia.) Or, she may try her luck in Dubai if she wants. Go into my Profile Page, and under my Contacts window, look for the user Wakaiivp. She may be able to give vital info on how to go about this matter. Write her an email, and tell her I'm behind all this. Please click on the second link. Most of the requirements your friend needs to show to the POEA are there. -------------------------------------- Addendum: sorry, but the first link doesn't work, so I changed it anew. When you get to the page, click on "Search Overseas Job Vacancies by Position," it will take a while to download. In the next page, type "Nurse" in the blank field, and click "Sort by Country."

Go to Canada or Europe! As a Filipino why work here? Both those countries NEED nurses. Taiwan actually has a surplus already, their main problem is lack of english ability so THEY can take advantage of the easily available/ higher paying nursing jobs overseas. All Philipino 'caretakers' here are essentially (overqualified and educated) house slaves from all I have heard. I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to sign up for that gig. Some qualified nurses I have heard about getting raped, beaten ect by their 'masters' and many are on 24 hour video surveillence and are forbidden to read books in Tagalog and are called if they take a bathroom break longer than 5 minutes off the video cameras... you dont want to get involved with that. There are agencies that workers with problems can call here in theory, but I highly doubt that is anything but a face saving gimmick the government put up, the rights agencies here are toothless in reality to force people to do anything or cause them to be blacklisted or anything. Maybe some Philipinos who work here already can offer a different view, but I would highly recommend passing on wasting your hard earned education on nursing in Taiwan. People who hire servants here are sick, sick sick regarding the treatment of people from countries they feel make a lower GNP than themselves. A larger percentage than normal of rich people here are BAD news. Rob, no offense taken. I am not a nurse and have little interest in it anyways. When did I ever say there was no opportunity in Canada? -The VAST majority of normal people here are wonderful human beings (at least to my face), I am just getting ranty. The climate is nice and its a great place to VISIT. But I would not want to be a nurse here or a philipino/ malaysian/ thai/ viet/ caretaker or construction worker here by any means.

I've been working overseas since 1989. For me Taiwan has been the most enjoyable. I made more money in places like Kuwait, Iraq and Bahrain. Living overseas isn't for everyone if you like to travel then I say go for it. Asking peoples opinion will only give you their thoughts. Check out this website this should help you. No, regions are different. If it's a special dvd that you can't get in SA, and you have a PC, you could install AnyDVD and use it to strip the region code off the disk. Then you would have to burn the data onto a new DVD and you could watch that one.
2 :
Is your DVD player multizone capable? Even if it is not most DVD players can be enabled to multizone by entering a combination of keys on the remote. DO an internet search with your model name and something along the lines of enable multizon.
