Will my American laptop work in Taiwan

Will my American laptop work in Taiwan? ?
I was wondering if a American Toshiba laptop would work in China? My boss is from China and sent the laptop to a family member in China. They said in China the laptop would work with a battery but not with the power cord. It would turn on but the screen would be fuzzy. Anybody got any idea? Thanks!

Your Laptop will work on the moon if you managed to go there, and as long as you have power.

It should work if it has a battery just charge at night and when not using and it should be fine.

You need an AC adapter that will work with Chinese voltage.

it will basically be the same. computers are international. but you will have to work on the internet part, depending where you go, the connection may be better or worse good luck

this happens because there's difference between the power of the electricity in the USA and China, if your laptop needs a high power to be on in China it might be low power and then your laptop wouldn't be able to stay on because of the low electricity.

im pretty sure because tobisha is a japanese company if im not correct and thats pretty close to china so my guess is that it will work there but i dont know about how the power outlets r there so it might only run on one battery. so u might want to get one of those outlet converters

It should work....the power outlets are the same as America

in CHINA, the plugs are incompatible and need an adapter. however, in Taiwan, the plugs are the same as America. I know cuz we moved from Taiwan to America and all our stuff still works.

First, Taiwan's AC power supply is the same as U.S. 110V 60Hz. However, in China, the AC power supply is 240V 50Hz, not the same as U.S.Your title said Taiwan, but text said China. Second, check the power supply(converter) specification for the Toshiba laptop, if the specification indicated for "Input" of 100-240V 50/60Hz, then most likely you will just need a proper socket adaptor, so the plug can be properly inserted into the outlet. If the specification indicated the "Input" is 100-110V 60Hz, then you will need to purchase a power supply(converter) from Toshiba that can handle input of 100-240V 50/60Hz. ALL laptop power supplies are power converter which convert the AC power into DC power, unfortunately some brand only supply their U.S. laptop with power supply(converter) that can only handle 100-110V 60Hz AC power supply.
