Primarily, the problem is I graduated from college May 2008, so up until now, I only have 1 year of full-time work experience. I believe that China and Taiwan both require 2 years of work exp. for foreigners to qualify for a work permit.

The country's government will give you a work permit as long as you've secured a job in some company. At least that's how it is in Singapore. I imagine the case would be similar in the other countries. From the company's point of view, as long as you fulfil their requirements, they'll be glad to hire you. If you apply for an entry position, of course not much experience is needed. But if you apply for the position of a Director, obviously you'll need lots more experience.
